IB MATH AA HL

IB Mathematics Analysis and Approach High Level helps you gain a deeper understanding of the subject. It focuses on analytical approaches and thinking abilities. The International Baccalaureate math studies are ideal for students who enjoy mathematical challenges and are strong in conceptual understanding and mathematical manipulation. It also contains investigating and inquiry-based learning that supports students supporting students in their internally assessed exploration task.
The International Baccalaureate Mathematics AA HL is divided into 8 broad topics.
- Algebra
- Functions
- Vectors
- Trigonometry and Circular Functions
- Differentiation
- Integration
- Probability
- Statistics
The topics of the International Baccalaureate diploma program are designed to promote analysis and lend themselves to exploration, conjecture, and proof. The AAHL students go into much greater depth in each topic than SL students. They learn a number of topics that are not part of SL, like complex numbers, vectors, reciprocal and differential equations, and inverse trigonometric functions.
